Helping Grow Big Cypress Reservation
Seminole Tribe Runway
R2T assisted the Seminole Tribe of Florida (STOF) with the design and construction management of several projects on the Big Cypress Reservation
Serving as the Owner's representatives, we oversaw the construction of the new wastewater treatment plant and repairs to the Big Cypress Airport runway.
We also assisted STOF with the construction of a new parking lot for the Airport and parking lot reconstruction for the Billie Swamp Restaurant on Big Cypress Reservation.
Our staff provided: data collection, hydrology & hydraulics, construction documents construction phase services and as-built drawings.
Data Collection: The R2T team performed data collection with respect to boundary and topographic surveying and geotechnical investigations. In addition, R2T is reviewed engineering design, conducted hydrology studies and developed maps to provide pertinent information to the projects. Hydrology & Hydraulics: For the Airport parking lot construction and Billie Swamp parking lot reconstruction, R2T provided basin and sub-basin delineations to determine the contributing drainage to proposed inlets. Rainfall data combined with land use assessments were used to generate runoff hydrographs. This data was used to begin sizing a new storm sewer systems to facilitate drainage to a rather low lying parking lot at Billie Swamp restaurant and to design the parking lot at the Airport. R2T utilized the boundary and topographic data as the basis to develop construction drawings. The drawings include site layout and staking plan, grading and drainage plan, erosion and sediment control plans and construction details. R2T is also responsible for Construction Specifications.
Construction Phase Services: R2T performed construction site inspection and erosion and sediment control site visits. R2T also assisted the STOF in responding to contractor Requests for Information (RFIs).
As-Built Drawings: The R2T Team assisted with assembly of an accurate set of as-built drawings at the conclusion of construction.
